NZARH 2021 Annual General Meeting

The NZARH Executive Board are looking forward to welcoming members to the NZARH AGM/Working Lunch to be held on Sunday 14th March 2021,
1pm - 2pm, at the Pavilions Hotel, 42 Papanui Road, Christchurch 8014.

The NZARH AGM will also be available to attend via Zoom.

The AGM and workshops/look & learns, will still continue at Level 2 while enforcing strict recommended safe practices.

N.B. The 2021 Judges and Stewards Seminar will not be held with the AGM this year and more information will be available at a later date.

Alicia Profile Square

Alicia Bakker, Jax Hair Studio, Whanganui
Born and raised in Whanganui, Alicia completed her Certificate in Salon Support and Emerging Stylist training at UCOL and was then fortunate to gain an apprenticeship at Jax Hair Studio where she completed her qualification and is now Salon Manager.
With a passion for colour work, hair extensions and dreadlock applications, Alicia believes you can never learn everything in the industry and takes every opportunity to expand her knowledge, not only for herself but also for her clients.
Alicia also has a passion for competitions, especially of late, photographic work and in 2017 was the Regional Winner of the Long Hair by Night competition, making the Supreme Team and placed as runner up.
Alicia welcomes the opportunity to be an advocate for other employees in the hair industry.

Rachelle McNabney, NZST (Cut Above Academy) Auckland
Rachelle is the Business Development Manager (Hair & Beauty Industries) for NZST, which includes Cut Above Academy, Elite School of Beauty & Spa and Face and Beauty Academy.
She is a qualified hairdresser who has 21 years’ experience within the tertiary education industry from teaching through to senior management roles.
Rachelle has extensive knowledge and experience in the design and development of teaching programmes and resources and has been involved in the development of qualifications for hairdressing, barbering, makeup and beauty therapy.

Teresa Stichbury, Hamilton Hair & Beauty, Waikato
Teresa commenced her hairdressing career at the age of 15, with an apprenticeship in her hometown of Pukekohe, at an hourly rate of $4.50 but anything was better than school! She then went onto manage a salon in Tuakau before leaving to be a fulltime mum to 2 boys under the age of 2 years.
Teresa has a passion for training and became a tutor before the birth of her third child in 2009. After a move to the Waikato, Teresa opened her first salon in 2013, Hair by Teresa, continued to train stylists and welcomed students into the salon for work experience.
Teresa has owned several salons in the Waikato and later co-joined with beauty, a life-long goal to make a joint salon work harmoniously.
In 2020, during these Covid times, Teresa undertook the challenge to relocate her current salon, Glenview Hair and Beauty Limited, located in Hamilton.
Teresa is also a HITO assessor and looks forward to joining the NZARH Executive Board.
